What does success look like for children and youth? How can we do more to ensure that young people have supportive relationships, engaging environments and powerful pathways to success throughout the community, throughout the year, and throughout their development? This registration-only session is offered by the Forum leadership to help you make the case for why and how we can change the odds for children and youth. Join us in exploring ways to combine the latest research and national dialogues with powerful key ideas that sharpen local advocacy and action. We’ll delve into the science summarized by the SEAD Commission, the Science of Learning and Development (SoLD) Initiative, the Social Genome Project and link it to a real life example (Wildflowers: A School Superintendent’s Challenge to America. Copies provided). You’ll work with others to adapt and test talking points and discussion guides that can work for multiple audiences from youth and families to policy makers.
