Communities are building integrated data systems (IDS) with data from multiple systems to research and evaluate youth development initiatives. The workshop will share lessons learned from implementing national best practices for integrating education, child welfare, juvenile justice and behavioral health data. As a strategy to co-create racial equity in the use of data, the Children’s Services Council of Broward (CSC) implemented a Community Participatory Action Research (CPAR) pilot that centered the lived experience of youth, developed their leadership and research skills and supported youth-adult partnerships. CPAR is a national best practice to increase racial equity and address racial disparities.
